Dialog Axiata PLC reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was LKR 45,622.94 million compared to LKR 36,861.96 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 3,243.29 million compared to LKR 5,409.18 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 0.4 compared to LKR 0.66 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 0.39 compared to LKR 0.66 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was LKR 127,181.99 million compared to LKR 104,791.28 million a year ago. Net loss was LKR 25,096.62 million compared to net income of LKR 12,473.98 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was LKR 3.06 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of LKR 1.52 a year ago.
Dialog Axiata PLC and its subsidiaries provide communication services, such as mobile, fixed, broadband, international gateway services; telecommunication infrastructure services, such as tower infrastructure and transmission services; media, such as digital television services based on multiple media- satellite, cable, terrestrial; digital services, including but not limited to digital commerce mobile and eCommerce; electronic payments, including mobile payment; digital health, education, navigation and enterprise services and financial services; software solutions, data center services, manpower services, provision of Information Technology and venture capital investment activities. It operates in three segments: mobile operation, fixed telephony and broadband operation and television operation.
