COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Diamond Hill Investment Group Inc. (DHIL) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $16.9 million.

The Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had earnings of $5.28 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $4.44 per share.

The investment company posted revenue of $45.1 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $45.1 million, topping Street forecasts.

Diamond Hill Investment Group shares have risen 11% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $165.75, an increase of 39% in the last 12 months.
