Dolby Laboratories : to Showcase Full Range of Cinema Solutions and Momentum for New Atmos and Vision Titles at CineEurope 2017

Highlights New Dolby Cinema and Dolby Atmos Screens and Milestones

CineEurope 2017, Barcelona, June 16, 2017- Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) is returning to CineEurope 2017 (Expo Hall, Suite B) at the Centre de Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) to showcase its full spectrum of industry-leading solutions, including newly available products to deliver end-to-end audio, imaging, accessibility, and post-production solutions for the cinema industry. Dolby will also highlight momentum for Dolby Cinema and Dolby Atmos site locations and new Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision titles.

Dolby recently announced a significant milestone, confirming there are now 100 Dolby Atmos screens installed in France. Cinéma Les Arts de Montivilliers opened a four screen, wall to wall, Dolby Atmos multiplex in Normandy; the first multiplex in France that has Dolby Atmos throughout. In addition to the milestone, the opening demonstrates a substantial uptake in the trend of Dolby Atmos multiplexes. Recently in Madrid, Odeon Sambil opened a new site with 12 wall to wall screens equipped with Dolby Atmos. This is the largest multiplex in Europe that has installed Dolby Atmos in all its screens.

To date there are more than 2,800 Dolby Atmos screens installed or committed to in more than 75 countries and over 780 screens installed in EMEA. In addition, there are more than 150 mixing facilities worldwide and more than 700 titles announced with support from all major Hollywood studios.

Dolby will also showcase momentum for its award-winning Dolby Cinema offering. Dolby Cinema, which features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, has seen great support in EMEA stemming from a new partnership with Les Cinémas Gaumont Pathé (Pathé). Last month, Pathé announced plans to open 10 Dolby Cinema locations, seven in France and three in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and the upcoming new Pathé cinéma in Massy, south of Paris, as the first locations. Initial locations are expected to be open by Fall 2017.

Currently, more than 325 Dolby Cinema sites have been installed or committed to across the globe, with 100 titles released or announced. Warner Bros. Pictures' Horse Soldiers is the 100 title to be announced.

Centre de Convencions Internacional Barcelona

For the fourth year running, Dolby has equipped the CCIB auditorium with Dolby Atmos, and CineEurope attendees will be able to experience Dolby Atmos sound with exclusive screenings of Annabelle: Creation from Warner Bros. Pictures, Despicable Me 3 and Atomic Blonde from Universal Pictures and War for the Planet of the Apes from Twentieth Century Fox. In addition, exclusive footage of Europacorp and Luc Besson's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets will be presented in 3D and Dolby Atmos.

Our Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000 coupled with our Dolby Multichannel Amplifier and SLS Express Series offer a complete, integrated solution from 5.1 to Dolby Atmos, regardless of the size of an auditorium. Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000

An innovative imaging server and audio processor in one, the new Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000 delivers reliability and enables you to show movies with superior sound. The Dolby IMS3000 increases exhibitors purchasing power compared to many other solutions. The solution also offers flexibility with sound as exhibitors can start with Dolby Audio 5.1 or 7.1 sound now, and unlock the power of Dolby Atmos later. The Dolby IMS3000's unified UI and simplified design make setup and operation more convenient and cost-effective, helping you deliver a cinema experience that audiences will love.

Dolby Multichannel Amplifier

This advanced high-density design can replace up to 16 stereo amplifiers, using less space and producing less heat, to lower overall costs. With less equipment to install, power, and maintain, exhibitors get a simpler and more efficient installation. The Dolby Multichannel Amplifier is available in two configurations, 24 channels or 32 channels.

SLS Express Series

The SLS Express Series consists of SLS 3-Axis Speakers, which deliver exceptionally clear and powerful sound in a smaller, lighter package that's easier and quicker to install overhead, and the SLS Rapid Rigging System, which simplifies overhead speaker installation to reduce labor costs and downtime. This new equipment adds to installation options and works with new or existing equipment, offering exhibitors more flexibility in equipping any size room.
