Upcoming virtual event uses collaboration to help shape the future with polyurethanes

Dow engineers and industry thought leaders come together to explore the challenges and opportunities facing the polyurethanes value chain

MIDLAND, Mich. - July 29, 2021 - Dow Polyurethanes, a business division of Dow (NYSE: DOW), is dedicated to collaborating with customers to accelerate innovations that can help solve the industry's most pressing challenges. To put that commitment into action, Dow Polyurethanes is hosting 'Shaping the Future with Polyurethanes' on August 10-11. The free virtual event invites industry experts and partners to the table with their unique insights to discuss trends and catalyze new opportunities in the polyurethane (PU) space.

Over two days, Dow's subject matter experts and industry partners will delve into key issues facing the entire PU value chain across a series of panels and curated conversations. Focus areas include: Dow's digital transformation and sustainability journey, innovation in consumer comfort, advancing agriculture through fertilizer encapsulation, e-Mobility solutions for acoustics and improving energy efficiency through insulation science.

'As we emerge on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's more clear now than ever that the world is changing at an unprecedented rate, and we must do our part to change with it, pioneering paths to a more sustainable future,' said Christina Mahally, North America Marketing Director, Dow Polyurethanes. 'From advancing digitalization to forging paths to more sustainable materials, we're maximizing polyurethane chemistry for our customers to create more agile and sustainable processes and technologies.'

With their inherent flexibility, polyurethane materials are poised to play a crucial role in the creation of solutions that not only contribute to a competitive advantage, but also to a better future. The event aims to lean into the power of collaboration, creating a platform to discuss and pinpoint the greatest industry challenges and, in doing so, discern how to harness the full potential of polyurethanes for a better future.

In addition to the full lineup of live webinars, attendees of the event can also expect a full virtual experience center, which includes:

  • Virtual tour of Dow's ComfortScience™ Studio.
  • Content rooms that include on-demand webinars, brochures, live chat with industry experts and more.
  • Access to a virtual press room where media can ask questions, obtain informational materials and request interviews with Dow's industry experts.

Registration for the event is now open here. For those unable to attend, the virtual platform will remain available until Friday, August 20.
