Egide gained 3% on the Paris Bourse on Thursday, after reporting a 13% rise in first-half sales to 8.6 million euros.

The manufacturer of hermetic packages for sensitive electronic components emphasized that all its market segments were growing, but that growth was mainly driven by optronics markets (+49%).

In its press release, the Group expresses its encouragement at the good sales momentum observed across all products in the first half, and hopes to maintain a "more or less identical" level of activity in the second half.

It also sees the improvement in US business as a positive factor in ongoing discussions with potential buyers of its US subsidiaries.

Over the first six months of the year, the US subsidiaries put up for sale recorded sales growth of 26%, including a 24% increase at constant exchange rates.

Egide explains the dynamism of its US subsidiary by the return of its plant to a 'cruising rhythm' after the personnel, training, qualification and quality difficulties it had previously encountered.
