Emmsons International Limited is an India-based company primarily engaged in the business of trading of commodities. The Company’s trading basket includes rice, wheat, wheat- flour, sugar, maize, groundnuts, soya meal, rapeseed meal and pulses, in addition to coal, sulphur, urea, iron ore fines and pellets, rock phosphate, di-ammonium phosphate, and almonds, among other things. The Company has its own farming, milling and storage operations in India. It is also active in the trading of fertilizer products in the Indian sub-continent and Southeast Asia. Additionally, The Company has a presence in Europe through its wholly owned subsidiary, Emmsons SA, which, in addition to being a trading arm, is also managing the farming of about 35,000 acres of land to produce and process grains and oilseeds in Ukraine. Its subsidiary, Emmsons Gulf DMCC, owns coal mines in Indonesia.
