• Fans will compete to get the CO2 compensation in their team's matches and travel.
  • A double season ticket for the 2022 Copa del Rey at stake, among other individual prizes.

The 2021 Copa del Rey begins in Madrid and Endesa, the sponsoring partner of the competition, puts the focus on the sustainability and virtual connection of Basket Lovers who, for the first time in history, will not be able to fill the stands or the streets of the city due to the pandemic.

#TheMostSustainableFans

Without the traditional bustle in the stadium or on the streets, fans can demonstrate their involvement by taking on the title of the most sustainable fans. To do so, all Basket Lovers can participate at www.endesabasketlover.com/aficionsostenible, a web space where they will find a fun quiz about environmentally-respective habits and where they can add points for their team.

The team whose fans add the most points will be awarded the compensation of their CO2 emissions during travel and the remaining home matches of Liga Endesa, supporting sustainable projects in developing countries. Participants will also be eligible to win different prizes for participating, such as a double season ticket for the 2022 Copa del Rey, personalised shoes or a pack of sustainable products.

In addition to this initiative dedicated to fans, Endesa will offset the energy expenditure of Copa del Rey matches by reinvesting it in sustainable projects, ensuring that it is a CO2 emission-neutral competition.

In this 2021 edition, Endesa is celebrating 10 years as the official sponsor of the Copa del Rey, a competition associated with the Endesa League, whose naming has been associated with the brand for the last decade. Endesa also sponsors the Spanish Basketball Federation, the Spanish EuroLeague and EuroCup teams and the NBA, reaffirming its commitment and support for basketball as a whole.
