Enplas Corporation reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 29,556 million against JPY 29,646 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 8,159 million against JPY 8,054 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 8,297 million against JPY 8,582 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 5,805 million against JPY 5,953 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was JPY 440.95 against JPY 404.65 a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was JPY 8,297 million against JPY 8,598 million a year ago.
The company also provided consolidated earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2016. For the year, the company expects net sales to be JPY 40,000 million, operating income to be JPY 11,000 million, ordinary income to be JPY 12,000 million and Profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 7,600 million or JPY 593.89 earnings per share.
ENPLAS CORPORATION is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and sale of various products made of engineering plastics and composite materials. The Company operates in three business segments. The Engineering Plastic segment manufactures and sells mechanical products used for high-precision gear-based office automation (OA) and telecommunications devices, among others. The Semiconductor Equipment segment offers integrated circuit (IC) sockets and others. The Optical segment offers optical communication devices and light-emitting diode (LED). The others business engages in the research and development related to the Company's businesses.
