Eveready Industries India Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 3,049.1 million compared to INR 3,304.3 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 52.9 million compared to INR 3,304.7 million a year ago. Net income was INR 84.1 million compared to INR 54.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.16 compared to INR 0.75 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.16 compared to INR 0.75 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 10,333.7 million compared to INR 10,415.6 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 100 million compared to INR 10,425.2 million a year ago. Net income was INR 587.1 million compared to INR 420.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 8.08 compared to INR 5.78 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 8.08 compared to INR 5.78 a year ago.
Eveready Industries India Ltd. is engaged in the business of marketing dry cell batteries, rechargeable batteries, flashlights, general lighting products and small home appliances. It also distributes a range of electrical products, small home appliances and confectioneries. The Company's product portfolio includes dry cell and rechargeable batteries under the brand names Eveready, PowerCell and Uniross; flashlights and lanterns under the brand names Eveready and PowerCell; LED bulbs and luminaires under the brand names Eveready and PowerCell, and small home appliances under the Eveready brand. Its products include zinc carbon batteries, alkaline batteries, trendy plastic torches, evergreen brass and aluminum torches, rechargeable torches, portable lanterns, LED batten, emergency LEDs, LED spotlights, LED downlights, LED panels, industrial lighting, outdoor lighting and others. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Goalpara (Assam), Lucknow, Noida, Haridwar, Maddur and Kolkata.
