Gapwaves announced that it will set up a new production facility adjacent to its current headquarter in Gothenburg, Sweden. The facility will serve as a production and industrialization hub. This strategic investment in pilot production is an essential part of Gapwaves' roadmap towards the position as a certified supplier of waveguide antennas and development of production capacity in the automotive market and other segments.

The facility will have an expected production capacity of up to 300,000 antennas per year and is expected to be up and running by June 2024. The actual pilot production will consist of assembly and testing of both Injection Molded Waveguide (IMW) and Multi-Layer Waveguide (MLW) antennas developed by Gapwaves for its partners and customers. In addition to production, the facility will also serve as an industrialization center in which production processes for large volume production can be developed and verified before they are outsourced to Gapwaves' selected and qualified large volume production partners.
