Gas Natural del Oriente S.A., ESP announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was COP 56,409.038 million compared to COP 52,245.153 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 8,488.672 million compared to COP 7,023.759 million a year ago. Net income was COP 6,943.639 million compared to COP 7,393.865 million a year ago. For the half year, sales was COP 107,776.682 million compared to COP 106,970.169 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 13,592.217 million compared to COP 11,235.964 million a year ago. Net income was COP 16,986.953 million compared to COP 13,589.991 million a year ago.
Gas Natural del Oriente SA ESP is a Colombia-based company engaged in the gas utilities industry. The Companyâs main activities comprise the distribution and marketing of natural gas in the city of Bucaramanga, as well as its neighboring municipalities of Piedecuesta, Lebrija, Grion, Floridablanca, Puerto Wilches, San Pablo, Cantagallo and Sabana de Torres, Colombia. The Company owns a number of subsidiaries, such as Gas Natural del Cesar SA ESP. It also holds minority stakes in such entities as Transoriente SA ESP, Compania Transportadora y Distribuidora Gas Venezuela and Transgas de Occidente SA, among others. Gas Natural SDG SA is majority shareholder of the Company.
