Genesis Resources Limited announced that results have been returned from metallurgical test work completed recently by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Perth, Western Australia from oxide gold core samples at its Plavica project in North Macedonia. Five composite samples taken from drill core drilled in 2015-16 were collected by Genesis staff. The core was taken from numerous holes, mixed together on site at Genesis core processing facility in Probistip, North Macedonia and then sent to the CSIRO as 5 separate 15 kg samples. The Clean Mining technique uses a non-toxic, water soluble, non-flammable inorganic compound to extract gold after the crushing and milling processes are completed. Results on five samples of oxide and partial oxide samples show recoveries averaging 83% after 24 hours based on a grind size of 75 microns. Most of the gold was recovered in the first 5 hours of leaching.
