Greene County Bancorp, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced net interest income was USD 13.609 million compared to USD 10.911 million a year ago. Net income was USD 6.195 million compared to USD 5.113 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.73 compared to USD 0.6 a year ago. For the half year, net interest income was USD 25.425 million compared to USD 21.411 million a year ago. Net income was USD 11.070 million compared to USD 9.976 million a year ago. In addition, The Bank invests a significant portion of its assets in state and political subdivision securities and mortgage-backed securities. The Bank offers investment alternatives for customers. The Bank operates a subsidiary, Greene County Commercial Bank, which receives deposits only to the extent of accepting for deposit the funds of the United States and the state of New York and their respective agents, authorities and instrumentalities, and local governments. The Bank also operates a real estate investment trust.
