Grupo Bafar S.A.B. de C.V. announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine month ended September 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net sales were $2,885,901 compared to $2,378,560 a year ago. Operating income was $189,461 compared to $157,429 a year ago. Income before taxes was $58,290 compared to $76,473 a year ago. Net loss was $64,706 compared to net income of $68,960 a year ago. Net consolidated loss was $63,774 compared to income of $70,217 a year ago. EBITDA was $274,232 compared to $227,915 a year ago.
For the accumulated period, the company reported net sales were $8,057,558 compared to $7,076,672 a year ago. Operating income was $530,696 compared to $481,341 a year ago. Income before taxes was $190,057 compared to $262,236 a year ago. Net loss was $37,978 compared to net income of $197,815 a year ago. Net consolidated loss was $35,208 compared to income of $200,004 a year ago. EBITDA was $765,505 compared to $685,181 a year ago. Book value per share was $14.1 compared to $13.8 a year ago.
