(GMexico) announces to its stockholders that on August 27,
2012, the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware resolved the
appeal filed by its subsidiary America Mining Corporation
(AMC) affirming the resolution of October 14, 2011 issued by
judge Strine. It was determined in said resolution that
Southern Copper Corporation (SCC) paid AMC an excessive price
for the stock of its subsidiary Minera México as a result of
the merger transaction occurred between these entities in
2005. Presently, AMC holds a participation in excess of 80%
of the stock of SCC.
GMexico strongly disagrees with the Delaware Supreme Court's
decision and today submitted the filing of a rehearing motion
before said court.
