Grupo TMM, S.A.B. Announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced total revenue was MXN 271.3 million compared to MXN 380.4 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 248.9 million compared to MXN 47.6 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 292.1 million compared to MXN 87.3 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 2.9 compared to MXN 0.9 a year ago. For the nine months, total revenue was MXN 906.6 million compared to MXN 1,109.6 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 260.5 million compared to MXN 4.7 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 322.8 million compared to MXN 96.4 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 3.2 compared to MXN 0.9 a year ago.
Grupo TMM, S.A.B. is a logistics and transportation company. The Company provides ocean transportation services, including maritime, ports and terminals management and logistics services, to clients throughout Mexico. The Company operates in three segments: maritime division, logistics division, and ports and terminals division. The maritime division includes the transportation of liquid petroleum and petrochemical products in bulk, materials and supplies for drilling platforms, as well as tugboat services. The logistics division includes warehousing services and logistics solutions. The ports and terminals division includes terminal services and shipping agency activities. It provides its services through a fleet of approximately 40 vessels, which include product and chemical tankers, harbor tugs and offshore supply vessels. The Company operates three Mexican port facilities, Tuxpan, Tampico and Acapulco.
