Grupo TMM, S.A.B. Announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced total revenue was MXN 296.5 million compared to MXN 366.1 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 55.9 million compared to operating Income of MXN 217.5 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 75.2 million compared to net income of MXN 128.4 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.7 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of MXN 1.3 a year ago. For the full year, total revenue was MXN 1,203.1 million compared to MXN 1,475.7 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 316.3 million compared to operating Income of MXN 212.8 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 398 million compared to net income of MXN 32.1 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 3.9 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.3 a year ago.
Grupo TMM, S.A.B. is a logistics and transportation company. The Company provides ocean transportation services, including maritime, ports and terminals management and logistics services, to clients throughout Mexico. The Company operates in three segments: maritime division, logistics division, and ports and terminals division. The maritime division includes the transportation of liquid petroleum and petrochemical products in bulk, materials and supplies for drilling platforms, as well as tugboat services. The logistics division includes warehousing services and logistics solutions. The ports and terminals division includes terminal services and shipping agency activities. It provides its services through a fleet of approximately 40 vessels, which include product and chemical tankers, harbor tugs and offshore supply vessels. The Company operates three Mexican port facilities, Tuxpan, Tampico and Acapulco.
