Grupo TMM, S.A.B. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 422.08 million compared to MXN 300.75 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 0.401 million compared to net loss of MXN 40.97 million a year ago.
For the six months, sales was MXN 832.88 million compared to MXN 568.96 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 1.51 million compared to net loss of MXN 119.87 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.05 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 6.2 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.05 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 6.2 a year ago.
Grupo TMM, S.A.B. is a logistics and transportation company. The Company provides ocean transportation services, including maritime, ports and terminals management and logistics services, to clients throughout Mexico. The Company operates in three segments: maritime division, logistics division, and ports and terminals division. The maritime division includes the transportation of liquid petroleum and petrochemical products in bulk, materials and supplies for drilling platforms, as well as tugboat services. The logistics division includes warehousing services and logistics solutions. The ports and terminals division includes terminal services and shipping agency activities. It provides its services through a fleet of approximately 40 vessels, which include product and chemical tankers, harbor tugs and offshore supply vessels. The Company operates three Mexican port facilities, Tuxpan, Tampico and Acapulco.
