Hindalco Industries promoted Satish Pai as the new deputy managing director of the company. Pai was made the new chief executive officer of Hindalco's aluminium business in India in August 2013. He was also inducted on to the boards of Hindalco and its U.S. unit Novelis.
He previously worked as the executive vice-president at American oil field services major Schlumberger.
