Honeywell International on Monday said it agreed to buy SCADAfence, an Israel-based provider of operational-technology and Internet-of-Things cybersecurity solutions for monitoring large-scale networks in a deal that bolsters the conglomerate's cybersecurity portfolio.

Honeywell, noting that the operational-technology cybersecurity industry is expected to grow to more than $10 billion over the next several years, said it plans to integrate SCADAfence into its Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+ suite, providing expanded asset discovery, threat detection, and compliance management capabilities.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Honeywell didn't disclose terms of the deal, which it expects to complete later this year.
