With a career spanning over 20 years in the media industry and extensive expertise in digital media, Binoy brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Prior to joining HT Media Group, Binoy served as the Executive Editor at Moneycontrol. He has also held several senior positions across reputed media houses in India, including The Economic Times, The Indian Express, and The Times of India. He was the founding editor of CNBCTV18.com.

Binoy started his career with Hindustan Times as a Copy Editor in 2001. Binoy is a 2017 Fellow at the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism in New York and is passionate about building successful journalism products and finding innovative business solutions. He is known for running agile, dynamic, and efficient newsrooms, introducing engaging storytelling formats, creating prosperous journalism products, and discovering innovative business solutions.

Binoy takes over from Prasad Sanyal. Prasad joined HT Digital in 2019 and spearheaded the launch of multiple successful initiatives that propelled HT Digital to unparalleled heights. Alongside the rapid growth of new sites such as HTTech.com and HTBangla.com, he also facilitated an era of explosive growth for the company's core websites - Hindustantimes.com, LiveHindustan.com, and LiveMint.com.
