(Alliance News) - Ilika PLC on Friday said it has promoted Louise Turner as vice president of Product Development from her current role as technical director, effective September 1.

The Romsey, England-based solid-state battery technology company said Turner will take over line management responsibility for Ilika's Stereax and Goliath product development programmes from Robin Bell.

Turner has "demonstrated her skills in overseeing both the scientific development and scale-up activities of the Stereax product and can draw on both her doctorate in chemistry and MBA in business and technology to further the Ilika story", Ilika said.

The battery tech firm added Bell will continue to work with and support the company in an advisory capacity as its new product introduction director, where he "will continue supporting each product in its journey to market".

Ilika also noted it has issued 426,000 shares for trading on AIM in London, with admission expected on Monday next week. This followed receipt of conversion notices for each of the to-be-issued shares.

Shares in Ilika were down 2.5% to 39.00 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
