ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE APPROVAL OF
PARTICIPATION IN INVESTING IN THE NATIONAL
GREEN DEVELOPMENT FUND
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (the "Bank") published the Announcement on External Investment on 16 July 2020. The Bank has recently received the "China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission's Approval in relation to Industrial and Commercial Bank of China's Participation in Investing in and Establishing the National Green Development Fund Co, Ltd." (Yin Bao Jian Fu [2021] No. 308), that the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission has approved the Bank's participation in investing in the National Green Development Fund Co, Ltd. (the "National Green Development Fund"). The Bank will participate by investing RMB8 billion in the National Green Development Fund, which shall be paid by instalments (the "Investment").
The Investment is an important way for the Bank to serve the construction of national ecological civilization and vigorously develop green finance, a strategic measure for the Bank to serve real economy and fulfil the new development philosophy, and will be beneficial to the Bank in further improving green industries service capabilities and promoting the development of the green finance business.
