InPlay Technologies (NASDAQ: NPLA) announced today that it has received a renewed agreement with a leading supplier of products for the global sleep and respiratory markets for production of InPlay's patented Duraswitch® thiNcoder® rotary switch technology. Under the terms of the renewal, InPlay's customer has agreed to purchase a minimum of one million thiNcoder rotary switches through Duraswitch licensees over the next 18 months.

thiNcoder is the user control for a new line of positive airway pressure therapy products introduced by InPlay's customer in 2006.

Tim Kuhn, senior vice president and general manager, Duraswitch, said, ?The product using our thiNcoder rotary switch has been well received in the market and we are pleased that the Duraswitch technology is a part of that success.?

?InPlay engineers, in conjunction with engineers from the customer and our licensee developed a custom rotary switch to meet the exact requirements for this control panel. Given the tight environmental and space constraints, thiNcoder technology proved to be an ideal solution compared to traditional rotary switches because of its thin profile and inherent sealability,? added Kuhn.

Duraswitch thiNcoder technology enables a thin, non-invasive rotary switch with a package depth below the overlay of less than 0.085?. thiNcoder eliminates secondary assembly processes and offers lower component costs. thiNcoder is easily integrated on flex circuit with other Duraswitch technologies such as the PushGate® and MagnaMouse?, as well as traditional technologies such as dome and membrane switches.

All Duraswitch products are produced through licensed manufacturers.
