Marcin Dakowski appointed MD of InPost Fresh

Ecommerce veteran to run new food delivery platform

InPost, Europe's leading ecommerce delivery platform, appointed Marcin Dakowski as managing director of InPost Fresh, a new food delivery service. Dakowski joins the company from the management team of Allegro.pl, where he ran the ecommerce site's ticket service ebilet.pl. Earlier he spent four years at Grupa OLX, where he was responsible for monetising the olx.pl service, setting up job portal OLX Praca and services platform fixly.pl. Dakowski has also worked for consultancies including McKinsey & Company.

InPost Fresh offers a mobile application for purchasing food products from suppliers around the country. The service, the first of its kind in Poland, builds on InPost's foundation of customer service and mobile technology, as well as high product quality from carefully selected partners. Dakowski will be responsible for the entire operation.

"We're pleased to welcome Marcin on board, and we're delighted that such an experienced manager is joining our team," said InPost CEO Rafał Brzoska. InPost Fresh is our newest project, and we'll be developing it systematically next year."

To use the new service, customers download the application, using a simple and intuitive registration process, and can begin placing orders the same day. InPost Fresh already offers more than 10,000 products for same-day or next- day delivery, including a broad assortment of fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. Clients can prepay using payment cards or bank transfers, or pay the courier by card upon delivery.

InPost Fresh is being tested in Warsaw and will soon expand to other cities. Deliveries are made using climate-controlled InPost vehicles, direct to the client's door, ensuring quality and freshness.
