What you will be doing?

Finncial Reporting

  • Enure timely closing of the general ledger of the companies within the stipulated time line each month and produce Management Information System (MIS) and Monthly Management Report for Group Reporting purpose
  • Ensure the MIS carried sufficient inormation (with relevant schedules) for monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare flash result within the stipulated time line for interim result presentation
  • Prepare yearly financial budget and assist General Manager on preparation of business plan schedule
  • Review the business performance and align financial budget to budget/forecast tracking on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly top line financial forecast and detailed financial forecast as required by the Group
  • Support GM on assignment of non-financial KPI of the business

Business Analysis and Management Reporting

  • Provide meaningful analysis of business information to assist with financial and commercial decision making
  • Provide business KPI reporting and analysis there of
  • Look for trends in information that may assist in improving business performance

Audit and Other Statutory Requirement

  • Handly statutory and non statutory audit of the company and striving to meet completion deadline set by holding company
  • Ensure all accounting records are properly kept and the soft form of financial data are duplicated and stored at a remote place for back up
  • Liaise and handle auditors, tax agent, tax authority, lawyers, bankers, company secretary, goverment bodies, insurance company, costomers in order to carry out the operational role as a Finance Manager by providing sufficient documentation as expected by these parties

Other Duties

  • Be point of liaison with Group Human Resourcce
  • Sufficiently cover the company and its assets from financial and operational risks through the seeking of insurance coverage
  • Participate in company meetings and provide the relevant support and guidance to the country management team
  • Assist the General Manager to carry out daily financial matters
  • Asses tax planning at company level and ensure accounting approach are tax efficient
  • Ensure all collections are updated into the accounting system in a timely manner

Accounts Payable and Cash Flow

  • Authorise payments at company level by following payment procedures as set by the Group. Ensure all payments are approved appropriately and ensure to aintain the correct cheque signing procedure
  • Manage company cash flow and prepare weekly cash flow forecast. Thereafter, manage accounts payable function according to forecast in order to better manage the available funds in the company
  • Ensure sufficient cash flow is available to meet operational requirement
  • Ensure payment runs in line with company policy
  • In short term, any excess funds will be targeted to pay off intercompany outstanding. Ing long run, to create a fund pool at the Group level by channeling excess funds to provide financing to low cash subsidiary at a cost
  • Check all Purchase Orders and ensure purchases are withing the approved budget
  • Ensure timely management of cash forecasting and cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations

Group Reporting

  • Provide MIS report and monthly management report (financial part) to General Manager/CFO, Assist in compilation of monthly management report for country level by liaising with various departments to obtain information, eg. Consumer Marketing, Customer Marketing, Agent Sales, Display Sales, IT, etc.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as required by the Group from time to time
  • Prepare all necessary audit documentation as required by Lead Auditor (Group level) in the specific country concerned
  • Report significant and unusual issues to Group Level (to name a few, tax audit, legal suit, possible fraud, etc)
  • Adhere to group policies and procedures at all time

Recruitment

  • Address staff head count requirement within the ID finance department
  • Monitor staff head count vs budget and addvice on shortfall/overspending
  • Assist Group HR on career progression and job performance review

What are the requirements?

  • A minimum of Bachelor Degree and Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • At least 10 years of working experience inAuditing, Financial Analysis and/or full set of accounts
  • Strong knowledge in financial reporting, business analysis and commercial acunmen
  • Well versed in Internal Audit
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office with advanced level in MS-Excel)
  • Able to work underpressure
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to think at both strategic and operational level
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to self motivated, effective leader, efficient, positive and can do attitude, strong work ethic, team player, meticulous, pro active and show initiative
