HOBOKEN, N.J. - March 21, 2024-Wiley, one of the world's largest publishers and a global leader in research and learning, today announced a new three-year open accessagreement with KingAbdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, beginning on January 1, 2024.

This represents the first open accessagreement between a Saudi Arabian institution and Wiley.It will provide KAUST scholars with reading access to Wiley's complete journal portfolio and enable KAUST researchers to publish in Wiley'shybrid open access journalportfolio, which includesover 1,300 journals.

This partnership has the potential to accelerate scientific discovery and collaboration around the world and signifies a major step forward for open access publishing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Nora Alshibani, KAUST Library Director.

Wiley has strong momentum in advancing open accesspartnerships, having signed more than 80 agreements around the globe, including with institutions in Qatar and Türkiye.
