KG Mobilians Co., Ltd (KOSDAQ:A046440) agreed to acquire an additional 37.72% stake in KG Passone from SkyLake Investment Co. for KRW 29.3 billion on March 15, 2017. KG Mobilians Co., Ltd will acquire 6.9 million shares of KG Passone. Post completion KG Mobilians will hold 78.45% stake in KG Passone. On completion, KG Passone will become a major subsidiary of KG Mobilians. KG Passone reported total assets of KRW 90.71 billion, total capital of KRW 37.78 billion, sales of KRW 47.52 billion and net loss of KRW 4.08 billion in the year 2016.
KGMobilians Co., Ltd is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the development and provision of wired and wireless payment services. The Company operates its business through two divisions: payment business division and other business division. Its payment business mainly provides payment solutions, such as mobile phone payment solutions, wired phone payment solutions, credit card payment solutions, account transfer services, prepaid card services and wireless online billing solutions. Its other business division is engaged in the certification business, which provides systems management servers (SMS) certification and mobile one time passwords (MOTP) services. The Company supplies its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
