Kinko Optical Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2019. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 936.135 million compared to TWD 1,048.105 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 37.769 million compared to operating Income of TWD 7.983 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 9.044 million compared to TWD 82.704 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.06 compared to TWD 0.28 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.06 compared to TWD 0.51 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 2,545.940 million compared to TWD 2,691.373 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 185.970 million compared to TWD 155.988 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 115.868 million compared to TWD 20.896 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.71 compared to TWD 0.53 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.71 compared to TWD 0.13 a year ago.
KINKO OPTICAL CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of optical lens modules and components. The Company mainly operates through two business segments, including Asia Operation segment and Domestic Operation segment. The Company primarily provides optical lenses modules and elements. Its products are applied in the manufacture of liquid crystal display (LCD) projectors, digital cameras, mobile phone cameras, televisions, multifunctional machines, digital video cameras and digital monitoring systems, among others. In addition, it is involved in the provision of after-sale technical support services, agent purchase of raw materials and others. The Company distributes its products primarily in Taiwan and other Asian markets.
