Kraft Heinz announces that it has been selected to receive up to $170 million from the U.S. Department of Energy, to support the implementation of clean energy projects at 10 of its U.S. plants.

This investment should help these sites, located mainly in the Northeast of the country, to reduce their annual emissions by more than 99% compared with 2022 levels, and should generate around 500 construction jobs there.

This is the food group's first selection for federal funding focused on the implementation of clean energy projects, supporting its ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
