CDP, an international non-profit, promotes a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to monitor and reduce environmental impacts. This marks the third time that Kyocera has been listed.
CDP plays a crucial role in encouraging and guiding companies to prioritize environmental transparency and take action. Each year, CDP uses its independent scoring methodology to evaluate companies' disclosures and strategies-from A to D-minus-and announces the leaders with its 'A List' designation.
CDP scored over 21,000 companies worldwide in compiling The A List 2023. After CDP's thorough evaluation, Kyocera was included among less than 400 companies that received an 'A' grade for their environmental disclosures.
About CDP
CDP was established as the 'Carbon Disclosure Project' in 2000, asking companies to disclose their climate impact. Since then, CDP has broadened the scope of environmental disclosure to include risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation. In 2023, over 24,000 organizations, including more than 23,000 companies representing two-thirds of the world's market capitalization and over 1,100 cities, states, and regions, disclosed environmental information through CDP.
