Latécoère strengthens its position in the defense sector

and unveils its new offer at Eurosatory

Toulouse, June 13, 2022 - Latécoère, a "Tier 1" partner of the largest international aeronautics manufacturers, is participating in the Eurosatory trade show, the international land and air-land defense and security event, which is held from June 13 to 17, 2022 in Paris.

Following the acquisition of the Spanish company MADES (Malaga Aerospace Defense & Electronics Systems), Thierry Mootz, CEO of Latécoère, Vincent Monziols, CEO of Latécoère Interconnection Systems, and Cristóbal Subires, Managing Director of MADES, will present the new European player in defense electronics and connectivity on Monday, June 13, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm at the brand's stand (stand B43 - hall 5B).

Latécoère Interconnection Systems' offer for defense players now includes precision electronics (Printed Circuit Board and network systems, etc.), optics (opto-electronic conversion, data multiplexing, etc.) and harsh environment harnesses.

At the group level, with the acquisition of MADES finalized in May 2022 and more recently the announcement of the ongoing acquisition of Avcorp Industries, the French company Latécoère strengthens itself as a European defense player established in 15 countries and 4 continents, able to serve sovereign nations in their equipment strategies. Once the acquisition of Avcorp is finalized, the defense segment is expected to represent around 20% of Latécoère's turnover versus less than 5% today. In particular, the group would manufacture wing components for the Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter, deepen its relationships with Boeing and Bombardier, and establish new commercial relationships with BAE Systems and Subaru.

Through its two branches, Aerostructures and Interconnection Systems, Latécoère equips the A400M transport aircraft, the Rafale fighter, the Atlantic 2 maritime patrol vessel and the KC-46 tanker.
