Lockheed Martin has successfully completed a production qualification flight test with the US Army during a demonstration at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

A Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) was fired from a HIMARS launcher to hit a target. This is the shortest distance covered to date, demonstrating the system's continued precision from launch to impact.

The PrSM is the US military's next-generation long-range precision strike missile, capable of neutralizing targets up to 400 kilometers away.

The test verifies the missile's structural integrity and trajectory control.

'This demonstration is the first in a series of production qualification tests bringing PrSM closer to Early Operational Capability (EOC) missile commissioning and delivery this year,' said Jay Price, Vice President of Precision Fires at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
