(Alliance News) - Maps Spa announced on Friday that it has been awarded, through its subsidiary Iasi Srl, the implementation and integration activities of the digital health services of the Abruzzo Region provided for in the agreement signed between the Region and the National Strategic Hub, for a total amount of EUR3.6 million.

The amount was divided into two contracts: one, with a two-year duration, provides for an amount of EUR2.9 million and regulates the implementation of some of the health services on the regional portal, the provision of Clinika, the dematerialization of the choice and revocation of the general practitioner and the integration of the regional assisted registry with the National registry; another, instead, with a three-year duration, provides for an amount of EUR732,000.00 and regulates the implementation of remaining services related to screening and the vaccination registry on the regional portal.

Among the various activities it is called upon to carry out, Maps Group will be responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of the Abruzzo Sanità Online platform, the portal for the delivery of digital health services, integrating the delivery of new services such as: celiac care, medical device distribution, outpatient and inpatient waiting lists, vaccination, screening and pharmacies.

In addition, again from the portal, patients will be able to pick up their referrals directly.

As part of the latter activity, Maps Group will also play the role of regional orchestrator, for interoperability between the ASLs of the

Region and the portal.

In order to increase regional health digitization, Maps Group will also be in charge of digitizing and dematerializing the GP choice and revocation process and optimizing the regional registry, integrating it with the national ANA registry.

Finally, Maps Group will address the Governance of Waiting Lists and provide the region with Clinika, a product that, thanks to sophisticated artificial intelligence systems and semantic analysis of clinical text, is able to assess healthcare prescriptive appropriateness.

Maps' stock closed Thursday at a par at EUR3.02 per share.
