Maruzen Showa Unyu Co., Ltd. (TSE:9068) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 270,000 shares, representing 1.31% of its issued share capital, for ¥1,101.6 million. The repurchase price will be ¥ 4,080 per share.
The purpose of the program is to improve capital efficiency and enable flexible capital policy implementation in response to changes in the business environment. As of January 3, 2024, the company had 20,611,946 issued shares (excluding treasury stock) and 6,298 shares in treasury.
Maruzen Showa Unyu Co.,Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the lorry transportation business, port transportation business and on-site work. The Company operates through two business segments. The Logistics segment is involved in the lorry transportation business, freight transportation business (lorry, railroad, ocean shipping, coastal shipping, and air transportation), port transportation business (general port transportation, port cargo handling (onboard and coastal barge transportation), warehouse Business, customs clearance, packing, marine transportation and air transportation agency. The On-Site Work and Machinery Cargo Handling segment is engaged in the transportation, assembly, replenishing, storage and cargo handling of raw materials, products, heavy cargos and precision machinery in factories, as well as the leasing of machinery.
