SoftBank Corp. signed a contract to acquire 20.01% stake in MicroAd, Inc. from CyberAgent Inc. (TSE:4751) for ¥4 billion on April 21, 2016. Under the terms of the transaction, SoftBank will acquire 693 existing shares of MicroAd and some new shares of MicroAd. The transaction is subject to the completion of the process of filing written reports to the authorities concerned. The transaction has been resolved during the CyberAgent's Board of Directors' meeting on April 21, 2016 and is expected to close on May 31, 2016.

MicroAd Inc is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the data platform business. The Data Platform business segment is mainly comprised of three services: data solution services, overseas consulting services, and digital signage services. Its main products include UNIVERSE DATA PLATFORM, a data platform; UNIVERSE Ads, an advertising platform; MicroAd COMPASS, an advertising revenue maximization service for media companies; COMPASS-FIT, an advertising platform, and MONOLITHS, an advertising distribution service.
