Nagina Cotton Mills Limited reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2018. For the nine months, the company reported sales of PKR 4,220,367,797 compared to PKR 3,888,737,775 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 173,790,383 compared to PKR 128,767,872 a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 93,268,583 compared to PKR 82,706,809 a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 45,449,220 compared to PKR 52,446,379 a year ago. Total comprehensive income for the period was PKR 50,817,832 compared to PKR 55,251,409 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were PKR 2.43 compared to PKR 2.80 a year ago.
For the quarter, the company reported sales of PKR 1,438,553,796 compared to PKR 1,212,391,530 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 78,232,837 compared to PKR 31,125,671 a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 41,192,298 compared to PKR 12,665,784 a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 24,007,734 compared to PKR 11,119,543 a year ago. Total comprehensive income for the period was PKR 68,952,794 compared to loss of PKR 12,706,521 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were PKR 1.28 compared to PKR 0.59 a year ago.
Nagina Cotton Mills Limited is a Pakistan-based company. The Company is engaged in the manufacture and sale of yarn. It is a manufacturer, producers, importers, exporters, stockiest and otherwise dealers in raw cotton, natural and/or man-made fibers, yarn, cloth and fabrics, hosiery, garments, towels and other made ups. Its products include 6/1 to 32/1 carded cotton yarns under the brand name Sweet Pea; 10/1 to 50/1, combed cotton yarns under the brand name Sweet Pea; Core yarns with Lycra from Dupont, Spandex from Cerora, count ranges from 7/1 to 40/1 for both carded and combed yarns in a variety of deniers; 20/2, 24/2, 30/2, 40/2, carded and combed yarns under the brand Angothi, and ring plain, compact yarns, Siro yarns, slub yarns, Siro slub yarns, multicount yarn, core yarn with slub from computer-assisted facilities. The Company's manufacturing facilities are located in Kotri Industrial Trading Estate in the province of Sindh, with a measuring area of approximately 20.75 acres.
