NEW YORK, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Nano-X Imaging Ltd was sued on Friday by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which accused the Israeli medical imaging company and founder Ran Poliakine of negligence for misleading investors about the cost to make its flagship product.

The complaint filed in Manhattan federal court said the defendants in 2020 and 2021 made false and misleading statements that underestimated Nano-X's cost to manufacture Nanox.ARC, a device the company claimed would make diagnostic imaging more affordable than existing medical imaging systems.
