National Australia Bank Limited announced changes to the Executive Leadership Team. Group Chief Digital, Data & Analytics Officer Angela Mentis is retiring from NAB on November 1, 2023, after 17 years with the Bank and 37 years in the industry. Current Group Chief Operating Officer Les Matheson will be appointed Group Executive Digital, Data and Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. Mentis was appointed Group Chief Digital, Data & Analytics Officer in October 2021 after a successful term as Managing Director and CEO at Bank of New Zealand between 2018 and 2021. She joined NAB in 2006 and has also served as Group Executive Business & Private Banking and led the Corporate & Institutional Bank and international offices. Ms. Mentis started her career at Macquarie Bank and held senior positions at Westpac, BT Financial Group and Citibank Limited.

Mr. Matheson was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer in January 2021 after 26 years working in banking and finance across Europe and Asia Pacific. In his expanded role, Mr. Matheson will be accountable for the Digital, Data & Analytics division as well as ubank, Group Marketing and Product Improvement & Governance. Mr. Matheson's appointment is effective November 1, 2023, subject to regulatory approvals.

Biography - Les Matheson: Les joined NAB in January 2021 as Group Chief Operating Officer and has almost 30 years' experience working in banking and finance across the Asia Pacific and Europe. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of the Retail Bank at Royal Bank of Scotland and was also responsible for Ulster Bank in Ireland. Les also had a long career with Citigroup, including as Chief Country Officer for Australia.

He is a Certified Bank Director (The Institute of Bankers UK) and a Fellow of the Chartered Bankers Institute and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Edinburgh University.
