• The export training grants are aimed at SME business owners and independent professionals. Applications can be submitted until Sunday, 30 April.

The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation has announced 15 export training grants as part of its First Export Programme for SME owners and independent professionals from any sector based in Spain. The grant recipients will attend a post-graduate level course in international business at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona.

The course will take place from 12 to 16 June at the Barcelona School of Management of the Institute of Ongoing Education of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra. Those interested in receiving one of these grants from the First Export Programme should submit their application before 30 April by using the form found on the www.fundaciongasnaturalfenosa.org website. The courses are subject to a 100% grant, while other expenses such as travel, daily allowances and accommodation must be paid for by each participant.

The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation has also announced another 15 grants for SMEs in Argentina, the recipients of which will attend the same training course in Barcelona. This will enable the participants from the two countries to make business contacts. The course will tackle such topics as the international business environment, market globalisation and the keys to international negotiation, subjects that will be joined by an instrumental approach to digital marketing.

The grants form part of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation's First Export Programme, which aims to facilitate export activity by small- and medium-sized enterprises, improve their ability to partner and offer training, advice and follow-up. The First Export Programme was first launched in Argentina in 2001 and has enabled over 26,000 companies to receive training on foreign trade. It was launched in Spain in 2014 and over 3,000 entrepreneurs and executives from Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises have taken part so far.
