Neoen announces that it has officially launched the construction of Blyth Battery (200 MW / 400 MWh) in South Australia, with instructions to start work given to a consortium made up of Elecnor and NHOA, with commissioning scheduled for 2025.

Located in the immediate vicinity of the Blyth West substation, this new battery will be connected to the Electranet grid. The French renewable energies group will own and operate it over the long term.

Neoen will combine the storage capacities of Blyth Battery with the production of its Goyder South Stage 1 wind farm, to continuously supply 70 MW of green electricity to the BHP mining group, and more specifically to its Olympic Dam mine.
