NIPPON PARKING DEVELOPMENT Co.,Ltd. (TSE:2353) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 4,000,000 shares, representing 1.25% of its total shares outstanding excluding treasury shares, for a total of ¥1,000 million. The purpose of repurchase program to improve shareholder returns and capital efficiency, and to execute flexible capital policies in response to changes in the business environment.
The repurchase program is valid till August 31, 2023. As of May 31, 2023, the company had 319,326,880 outstanding shares (excluding treasury shares) and had 29,071,720 shares in treasury.
NIPPON PARKING DEVELOPMENT Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the parking lot business, the ski resort business and the theme park business. The Company operates through three business segments. The Parking Lots segment is engaged in the operation, management, consulting and leasing of parking lots, as well as the provision of car sharing, camper rental, parking lot information search services. The Ski Resorts segment is engaged in the acquisition, operation and consulting of ski resorts and amusement parks, as well as the provision of employment services. The Theme Parks segment is engaged in the acquisition, operation, consulting, sale and rental of theme parks, villas and lodging facilities, as well as the provision of employment services. The Company is also engaged in the education business, the healthcare business and the real estate business.
