Nordic Nickel Limited announced the appointment of experienced nickel exploration geologist and mining executive, Julian Hanna, as Geological Consultant. Mr. Hanna will act as technical advisor to the Managing Director
as the exploration program progresses at the Pulju Project under the direction of Nordic Nickel's Finnish Team led by Juho Haverinen and partners Magnus Minerals, who have unparalleled experience in nickel exploration within the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt of Finland. Mr. Hanna has more than 35 years' experience in exploration, project development and mining and has held senior roles in nickel, copper and gold companies with projects in Australia, Botswana, Canada and Finland. In 2000, Mr. Hanna co-founded nickel company Western Areas Ltd. and was Managing Director over a 12-year period when the company discovered and developed two substantial high-grade nickel
sulphide deposits and became one of Australia's leading underground nickel mining companies. In 2013 Julian was appointed as Managing Director of Australian junior MOD Resources Ltd, where he was directly involved in the consolidation of the central Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana and in the discovery, resource drill-out and initial studies for two large open pit copper deposits. In October 2019, Sandfire Resources Ltd. acquired MOD Resources for A$167 million and Julian joined Sandfire to help oversee the transition of the substantial Botswana assets and in-country exploration team into Sandfire. In addition to the agreed consulting arrangement, Mr. Hanna has been provided with an incentive in the form of 400,000 equity options in Nordic Nickel in two tranches vesting in 12 months and 24 months respectively, with the details contained in the Notification Regarding Unquoted Securities lodged with the ASX 1 September 2022.
