Muscat, Oman

Supporting all sports lovers from every corner of Oman, the Ramadan Football Tournament has returned to Muscat and Nizwa after a two-year break due to COVID-19 with thirty-two teams from each region kicking off their campaign to win the trophy this month. So for football enthusiasts, Ramadan nights are now filled with even more excitement! Be part of the action each night from 9:30pm at the indoor football field of Boushar Club in Muscat and the Al Nasr team in Nizwa to cheer on your favourite teams.

Games will take place every night throughout Ramadan until a champion is crowned. The tournament attracts many of the best and most skilful players in the region, including former Oman national team members, players from the Oman Professional League and local teams.

The Ooredoo Group is a passionate supporter of football in communities across Oman and throughout the GCC, and enjoys long-term relationships with seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, Leo Messi, brand ambassador for Ooredoo, and his club, Paris Saint-Germain.

Ooredoo launched its 'Hello World' campaign to give football fans the opportunity to win tickets to some of the biggest matches across Europe including the El Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, and Der Klassiker between FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund.

Ooredoo will be hosting official Fan Parks during the upcoming Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup kicking off on 21 November 2022 so that fans can enjoy all the action live on big outdoor screens and experience the atmosphere of a month-long festival of football.
