Onto Innovation Inc. Announces Executive Appointments

On October 1, 2021, Robert A. Koch, the Onto Innovation Inc.’s Vice President and General Counsel, notified the Company that he intends to retire sometime in 2022. The Company expects Mr. Koch to continue in his current role until the Company appoints his successor to facilitate an orderly transition of responsibilities. The effective date of Mr. Koch’s retirement will be disclosed once finally determined. The Board of Directors of the company appointed James Harlow as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer effective on October 1, 2021. Mr. Harlow has over 20 years of experience in semiconductor operations and has managed operations teams around the world. Mr. Harlow has served for the last eight years in senior operations management roles, at Applied Materials Inc. While at Applied, Mr. Harlow served from December 2019 to September 2021 as Managing Director, Applied Global Services – Operations and Supply Chain, from December 2017 to December 2019 as Senior Director, Applied Global Services – Operations and Supply Chain, and from September 2013 to December 2017 as Director Worldwide Operations.
Onto Innovation Inc. is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and support of metrology and inspection tools for the semiconductor industry. The Companyâs products include Automated Metrology Systems; Integrated Metrology Systems; Silicon Wafer All-surface Inspection/Characterization; Macro Defect Inspection; Automated Defect Classification and Pattern Analysis; Yield Analysis; Opaque Film Metrology, and others. Its products are primarily used by silicon wafer manufacturers, semiconductor integrated circuit fabricators, and advanced packaging manufacturers operating in the semiconductor market. Its products are also used for process control in a number of other specialty device manufacturing markets, including light emitting diodes, vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers, micro-electromechanical systems, CMOS image sensors, silicon and compound semiconductor power devices, analog devices, RF filters, data storage, and certain industrial and scientific applications.
