Robert Jeffree has been promoted to chief executive of advice network Openwork's investment arm Omnis from his current role as chief investment officer (CIO).  He replaces Dominic Sheridan, who was poached in November by Schroders Personal Wealth to become CEO of its authorised corporate director business. In his new role, Jeffree will report to Richard Houghton, CEO of The Openwork Partnership. In the short term, he will retain the responsibility of the CIO position while a replacement is found.  Jeffree has spent the past seven years in CIO roles.

Before joining Omnis in 2020 he worked for Banque Transatlantique for more than three years. Prior to that, he had a seven-year stint at C Hoare & Co.  He began his career at HSBC and also spent time as a fund manager at New Star Asset Management.  The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
