On Tuesday, Orange announced that it had signed a 15-year solar power purchase agreement with ZE Energy, a young French company.

This CPPA (corporate power purchase agreement) covers the acquisition of 90 GWh per year from a new hybrid solar power plant currently under construction in the Landes region of France.

This project will enable Orange to supply its networks and infrastructures with competitive renewable energy at a stable price.

Located on a 60-hectare plot of communal land in Vert, Landes (40), the 'photovoltaic + storage' hybrid solar park project, for which construction began in June 2023, is due to be connected to the Enedis grid early next year.

This is the first 'CPPA' signed by Orange with an operator of hybrid 'photovoltaic + storage' power plants.
