PI Industries Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 21,169 million compared to INR 17,700 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 21,638 million compared to INR 18,017 million a year ago. Net income was INR 4,805 million compared to INR 3,348 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 31.67 compared to INR 22.07 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 31.66 compared to INR 22.06 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 40,273 million compared to INR 33,132 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 41,211 million compared to INR 33,725 million a year ago. Net income was INR 8,634 million compared to INR 5,972 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 56.91 compared to INR 39.37 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 56.9 compared to INR 39.35 a year ago.
PI Industries Limited is a holding company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of agro chemicals. The Company operates through two segments: Agro chemicals, and Pharma. The Agro chemicals segment includes Agchem exports (CSM) and Domestic Agri Brands. The Pharma segment comprises contract research and development, contract development and manufacturing of active. It also includes materials and intermediates used in the pharmaceutical industry. The Company offers services, such as research and development services, CSM services, distribution services. The research and development services comprise target, discovery, molecule design, library synthesis, lead optimization, biological evaluation and route synthesis. It also provides Shield (fungicide) and Londax Power (rice herbicide) products. It offers services in areas, such as contract research, process development, analytical method development, process safety data generation and detailed process engineering.
