(Alliance News) - The board of directors of Pirelli & C. Spa, meeting for the first time Thursday after the appointment three days earlier, appointed Andrea Casaluci as the company's chief executive officer.

Marco Tronchetti Provera was chosen as executive vice chairman while the company also established the Corporate General Management, entrusting it to Francesco Tanzi.

Pirelli's board appointed committees: in the Remuneration Committee, with Chairman Grace Tang will work Michele Carpinelli, Paola Boromei, Alberto Bradanini and Chen Aihua; in the Control, Risks and Corporate Governance Committee, joining Chairman Fan Xiaohua will be Giovanni Lo Storto, Roberto Diacetti, Michele Carpinelli and Chen Aihua.

Also joining the Appointments and Succession Committee are the chairman, Marco Tronchetti Provera, and Domenico De Sole, Chen Aihua, and Zhang Haitao; on the Strategies Committee, with Tronchetti Provera as chairman, will be Jiao Jian, Andrea Casaluci, Domenico De Sole, Alberto Bradanini, Roberto Diacetti, Chen Qian, and Zhang Haitao.

Chairman Marisa Pappalardo and Giovanni Lo Storto and Michele Carpinelli will join the Related Parties committee; Jiao Jian, Andrea Casaluci and Giovanni Lo Storto were appointed to the Sustainability committee instead, with Tronchetti Provera chairman.

Finally, the board of directors confirmed Fabio Bocchio as manager in charge of drafting corporate accounting documents and Carlo Secchi - as chairman -, Antonella Carù and Alberto Bastanzio as members of the supervisory body, in continuity with the previous mandate, which expired together with the board that appointed him.

Pirelli's stock is down 1.1 percent at EUR4.80 per share.
