Pixium Vision announced on Wednesday that the French courts have decided to postpone their decision concerning the adoption of a disposal plan and the opening of receivership proceedings.

The Paris Commercial Court was due to rule on December 18 on the only takeover offer received to date by the receivers of the bionic vision specialist.

At the same time, the court was also due to rule on how to proceed with the court-ordered liquidation of the inventor of the Prima wireless photovoltaic subretinal micro-implant.

As a reminder, the group is due to report the results of a trial conducted on its system in 38 patients suffering from severe central visual field deterioration due to dry AMD during the second quarter.

By November 20, the deadline for submitting bids, only one takeover offer had been received.

Pixium has indicated that it intends to communicate the date on which the court will make its decision as soon as it is aware of this.

Pixium's shares were up several times following this announcement, and were up by more than 17% late Wednesday morning on the Paris Bourse, as investors regained hope in the company's future.
